Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay

Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar warned Tamil Nadu politicians not to interfere with the state's administration over the death of three suspected poachers in Chamarajanagar on August 15 saying that 'no state should interfere with the administration of any other state.' His remarks came as the tension flared between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka following the shooting of three 'Tamil' men by Karnataka Forest Department personnel inside the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary in Chamarajanagar district.

Following the incident, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay strongly condemned the alleged brutal killing and sought a fair investigation by a high-level committee into the heinous incident.
